Welcome to Kowloon Union Church and greeting of peace in Jesus Christ! I hope you will know more about us and get the information you need through this website. You are most welcome to meet us in person and join our community by attending our worship services and programs, or just pop into the church for a chat and prayer.

May the Creator God give you life.
May the Redeemer Jesus Christ give you light.
May the Holy Spirit give you love.

With joy and hope,

Rev. Phyllis Wong

Our Beliefs

Kowloon Union Church is an independent congregation, striving to live and work within the faith and unity of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. We are grateful to belong to the Hong Kong Christian Council, and we cherish our links with other ecumenical organizations like the Christian Conference of Asia and the World Council of Churches.

We share the theology and tradition of Protestant faith. Although we do not subscribe to a particular set of confession or creed, our Mission Statement reflects what we believe, for the Bible reminds us that faith without action is dead (James 2:17). KUC also issues statements concerning different social and faith issues too. Click below to learn more.

Our History

A Brief History of Kowloon Union Church

Kowloon Union Church was founded in 1924 by the London Missionary Society aiming that "the Ordinances of Christianity would be administered without distinction of Denominations". With the financial support from Sir Paul Chater, the foundation stone of the church building was laid on 27 May 1930.  Kowloon Union Church is declared a monument for permanent protection in 2017.
